about the project
connect.faith is a 1001 New Worshiping Community of the Presbyterian Church (USA). the project was born out of Pleasantville Presbyterian Church’s digital ministry, which includes a weekly email, a facebook ministry, and more. we began seeing people from all over the world opening the emails, forwarding them to friends, and spreading the message.
at connect.faith, we are a community of people, lifting each other up, teaching one another, and growing together as creative individuals and a spiritual and justice oriented community.
our community represents a wide variety of faith backgrounds, racial and ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ identities, ages, careers, and locations.

1001 New Worshiping Communities is an initiative of the PC(USA) to spark a movement of innovation and risk, courage and faithfulness in the Church of Jesus Christ and bearing witness to the Reign of God in the world.

Pleasantville Presbyterian Church serves as a partner in ministry for connect.faith. Our ministry grew out of PPC’s digital outreach. PPC is a vibrant, diverse community of faith located in Pleasantville New York. PPC strives to meet people where they are, reaching out to those who are seeking, connecting them with God and with each other, as they grow together in serving Christ.

Our hope is that together, we can put aside the boundary of location, and make community together through a variety of modes of communication. So far, we’ve experimented with emails, blogs, youtube, social media, google hangout video calls, and podcasts. Where can we meet you and create community together?
