no time like the present | founders blog

There’s no time like the present. Lately that has a much different meaning than it ever did. These last few days have truly been remarkable. The turmoil of suddenly working from home, the chaos of panic shopping, schools closing, entire industries shutting down, many people out of work or afraid they will be soon…

I would like to offer a couple lines from David LaMotte’s song Deadline

there’s no time like the present
there’s no present like time”

Perhaps when the dust settles a little, we can use the extra time we suddenly gained over commuting, running from place to place in the afternoons and evenings, watching sports… to become more centered in our lives. More focused on our family and ourselves. More aware of those in our community who are also struggling.

This is not something any of us wished for. But it may turn out to be a gift that keeps on giving long after this pandemic is behind us.

Thanks Steven, We are here by God’s appointment at this time. And time is a gift. Caleb- oldest grandson – put the hymn Day by Day on family playlist (In Swedish because he couldn’t find in Danish!) Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment, I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
    Praying for you and yours
