“I sit on my South Carolina porch, somewhere in the universe between the full moon to the east and Sirius to the west, and give thanks for children who giggle, a kind plumber, a shrimp colored sunset, old friends, a glass of wine, and music from the 70’s. These simple creations bring a tearful smile and a full heart to a tired soul.”

I sit on my South Carolina porch
Somewhere between the sunrise and the moon set
Somewhere between the ocean roar
And the hum of he highway
Somewhere between Thursday and Friday
But actually Friday
Bold creamy coffee clutched in yoga reverence
The breeze- somewhere between mist and sprinkle- convinces me to pull my hood forward
A dog barks
Another answers
I pray for peace.
