Ike writes, “I wrote this solo for Chris Dingman’s “Dispatches from the Unknown” and am thrilled it’s done. There was a lot of soul searching that went into this piece. I’m thinking about what a force music is in my life and how it helps me feel a sense of belonging. Aphelion is the point in orbit when a planet or object is farthest away from the sun. I had no idea where we’d be right now when these sounds emerged in the before times! I’ll be talking about it tonight at the connect.faith Creativity Lab. Sending you all love + peace”
