Writer’s Guidelines for connect.faith anthology

The connect.faith anthology is a place to share your ideas about the intersection of creativity, spirituality and justice. Please explore the connect.faith website, particularly the about page, to learn more about who we are, and the Progressive Christian perspective we embrace.

Our intention with this project is to work on filling the gap in Progressive Christian literature. We’d like to include your short stories, poetry and essays around themes such as grace, hope, forgiveness, inclusivity, compassion, eco and social justice. We anticipate both a physical book, and electronic versions of the document may be published.

Fiction and essays submissions need to be between 500 and 3000 words to be accepted. Poetry submissions can be up to 50 lines in length. We ask that you submit a 1-5 word suggested title, as well as a one sentence summary.

Please send one submission at a time.
By submitting your entry to the anthology or giving permission to connect.faith to publish your work, either in print or electronically, you represent:

  1. that all works submitted are your creation.
  2. that reproduction and distribution of the work will not violate any copyright or other right of any third party;

We are committed to paying writers to write. Authors will be paid $50 for each accepted poetry submission, and .05 per word for accepted fiction/essays. A copy of the completed publication will be awarded to each author as well. We are only paying for the author’s submission to this anthology. All rights will remain with the author.

Send all submissions to debbie@connect.faith
