Faith and Nature

So – Nature has been getting our attention lately! Between the rare earthquake in New York and New Jersey and the eclipse, we might just be noticing creation and its power a little more than usual.

I’m wondering what role nature/creation plays in your faith story. Lots of people say they feel close to God in nature. For some people it’s awe at the immense, intense beauty of creation that points at the existence of a creator God.

The scripture says “In the beginning, God…Creation points us beyond ourselves. It can lead us to be open to the power of God’s Spirit to fill our souls in unexpected ways.

Prayer: Dear God, Help me spend more time dwelling in and noticing the wonder of creation. In Jesus Name, Amen
