connect.faith - season two

a new day
Back in February, we were able to come together to film the second season of connect.faith just before the global pandemic hit and everything changed. We brought together all sorts of people to continue to explore the intersection of creativity, spirituality and justice--and it's every bit as relevant today.

Back in February, we were able to come together to film the second season of connect.faith. We brought together all sorts of people to continue to explore the intersection of creativity, spirituality and justice–and we can’t wait for you to see it.

In this segment, David LaMotte talks about the 8 foot tall banner hanging on the porch of his Black Mountain, North Carolina home. David is an award-winning songwriter, speaker and writer. As a keynote speaker, and then Critical Conversations Coordinator, he has facilitated conversations about race, privilege, and positive change. David is also a Rotary World Peace Fellow and studied International Relations, Peace and Conflict Resolution.

When he visited connect.faith he spoke about how he sees the intersection of creativity, spirituality and justice, his work as a peacemaker, and of course he brought his guitar. We can’t wait to share more of David LaMotte with you.

In these difficult times – we are thankful for this community and the connections that reach beyond being in the same place. Now, more than ever, we need to believe in the promise of a new day, the hope that despite all evidence to the contrary, there is a new day dawning.
